New Issue of Productive Magazine

Happy Easter and Passover to all Appraiser Workshops Readers.  Have a wonderful day.

I have posted in the past when a new online issue of Productive Magaznie is published.  If you may recall, Productive Magazine is connected tot he Getting Things Done or GTD business model.  Some ideas and concepts work very well for the solo professional like many in the appraisal profession. Since we juggle so many hats, it is always good to get some organization in our lives and businesses.

I found the article on how to delegate without a staff particularly interesting.  The tips were to triage your to do list, use technology more efficiently, negotiate previous assignments, seek volunteers, hire help, not take additional assignments.  All very much common sense solutions, which much of GTD is, but sometimes you dont always think in practical terms and need the obvious pointed out.

The new Productive Magazine issue contains articles on the following topics:

  • Leo Babauta of “Zen Habits” fame:
“Be passionate about what you’re doing. If you’re not, it’ll be hard to motivate yourself. If you’re excited about your work, you’ll jump out of bed to do it.”
  • How to delegate if you don’t have a staff? by Michael Hyatt
  • How to be productive and balanced when working from home by Stephanie Dickison
  • Poutsourcing by Mike Vardy
  • Reflections on publishing sensation - Four-hour Workweek book review by Art Carden
  • 7 Irrational thoughts that disrupt your life by Steven Aitchison
  • Zen to Done - 14-30 days to a habit by yours truly
