Picasso Sets New Auction Record

Its a little passed 10:00 pm on Tuesday evening and I just got home after a 10 hour drive from Toronoto and the ISA Conference.  More on the conference later. Just a quick post, as my mind wondered on the long drive home while thinking if the Brody consigned Picasso, Nude, Green Leaves and Bust broke the auction record for a piece of art at auction.

As expected the answer is yes, but just barely at $106,482,500.00. The previous record set earlier this year for the Giacometti bronze, which sold for $104.3 million.

I will post more on the NY sales over the next few days as news and analysis is released.
