This post is just a teaser to show the potential results and trending abilities now that we have more than one months worth of data. Imagine when we get to four months.
Thanks to all who have responded to the Fine and Decorative Arts Market Confidence Survey. If you have not taken the survey, please complete online at http://bit.ly/gJYcEY
I thought I would share some preliminary results for a couple of sectors to show the value of the survey results over two periods.
The following Chart shows the Fine Art Upper Market Confidence level change from October 2010 to January 2011. The early survey results show the confidence level in the upper market has increased with both positive and neutral responses gaining, while negative responses declined.
For Furniture and Decorative arts - middle market, the news is not nearly as good. The preliminary survey results show the confidence declining from October with positive falling from 10.4% to only 2.4%, and negatives and neutral both increasing.
With strong survey responses and results, the importance and functionality of the survey when used to document a market analysis will only strengthen an appraisal report and give tangible evidence of market activity to justify valuation.
If you have not submitted your survey, do so online at http://bit.ly/gJYcEY. The more participation and results tabulated, the more significant the results will be.
Thanks,
Todd
