The fourth quarter of 2010 has gone by quickly and it is now time for the Appraiser Workshops Fine and Decorative Arts Market Confidence Survey. It is now time for the 1st quarter survey (I have shifted the time frame from the end of the quarter tot he beginning of the quarter, so this survey will be for the 1st quarter 2011, and I will make a note on the name of the previous survey). I ask the many appraisers, dealers, specialists and other readers of the Appraiser Workshops blog to take the short online survey. I will publish the results of the Fine and Decorative Arts Market Confidence Survey on the blog and provide a link to download a free copy of the final report.
I am excited about this survey project because we will now have the ability to start trending results and how the market sectors are performing over time. The survey results are extremely useful in writing current market analysis reports and in discussing ongoing market trends with clients. The survey results for each included sector adds credible and tangible information and content to the market analysis sections of the appraisal report. That is why it is important to participate and complete the short survey.
The last quarterly survey saw over 150 submissions with over 350 downloads of the report results (and counting). I thought those numbers were excellent, but I hope this next survey sees even more participation and completions.Feel free to sent the link to fellow appraisers, dealers and specialists. as the larger the sample, the more reliable the results.
Please take a few moments and complete the online Fine and Decorative Arts Market Confidence Survey.

Thanks,
Todd
