TAFAC Meetings

On Thursday May 5th I will be attending The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council meetings (TAFAC) in Washington DC. One of the meetings I will be participating in is the Appraisal Qualifications Issues Committee. This committee makes recommendations to the Appraisal Qualifications Board. As many personal property appraisers are aware of, there are new qualification guidelines being considered.

If any appraisers would like to pass a comment along or has a question about the process and guidelines, please let me know, and I will try to approach the committee with question or concern. The comment period has closed for the first exposure draft, and comments can be seen with the exposure draft which is online (see link below). I believe the AQB is now working on the second exposure draft and is close to making its final qualification guidelines recommendation.
