Watching Sotheby's ImpMod - Munch Record

I decided to watch portions of the Sotheby's NY Impressionist and Modern Art Evening sale to report on some of the major lots, such as Picasso and Munch. I thought AW readers would like to know what the Munch sold for sooner rather than later.

The sale if offered 76 lots.

Lot #4 Pablo Picasso $20-$30 million pre sale estimate - sold for $26 million, $29.2 with buyers premium

Lot #7 Chaim Soutine $10-$15 million pre sale estimate - sold for $8.3 million, $9.38 million with buyers premium, auctioneer had to work to get to this level

Lot #11 Joan Miro $10-$15 million pre sale estimate - sold for $13.2 million, with buyers premium $14.87 million

At around 7:30 and on lot #13 I lost my video feed which was spotty to begin with, and after reloading it stated service not available, then some intermittent audio.  I wonder if too many were signing on to watch the Munch sell.

Lot #15 Paul Gauguin $5-$7 million pre sale estimate, sold for $8.48 million including buyers premium

Lot #20 Edvard Munch estimate on request, reported to be around $80 million - sold for, started at $40 million and quickly went up to $50 million, then steadily on to $80 million, then $91 million where it slowed and hit $100 million and at $107 million it hammered. This should be a new record for art sold at auction. With buyers premium it totaled $119,922,500.00.

I will post the full sale results once they post.
