Its Official - Past President of ISA

As of 4:30 pm on Saturday November 2, I am now the past President of the International Society of Appraisers.  With that, my term on the ISA Board of Directors has also come to an end.

The timing was great, as it is now time to move on and start to focus on other opportunities, such as AW Worskhshops, the AW blog, the Journal of Advanced Appraisal Studies and of course my own personal property appraisal practice. I have enjoyed my time on the ISA board and as President, much has been accomplished over the past 5 years or so, and I leave my position with ISA being in perhaps its strongest position ever.

I know the new leadership will accomplish much and continue along the path of excellence and exceptionalism for ISA, its members and the profession.  Look for great things to come from this organization, including sponsorship in the Appraisal Foundation, new online Learning Management System, brand and member advertising, affordable E&O insurance policy specifically for personal property appraisers, the best appraisal education, theory and methodology programs and the best appraisal conferences.

I wish Cindy Charleston Rosenberg, ISA CAPP, the new ISA Board of Directors president and the new ISA Board of Directors much success.  I know Cindy will thrive in her new role leading the largest and best professional personal property appraisal organization. She has tremendous energy and excitement, is a dedicated professional and wants to see ISA grow and enhance its already strong and growing reputation.  If you have not looked at ISA as a professional organization recently, you should reacquaint yourself with this dynamic and progressive personal property only appraisal organization. That's right, no business val no real estate appraisal, only the best fine and decorative arts appraisers in the profession with members and chapters throughout the U.S. and into Canada. If you are not now an ISA member, you should consider joining as this organization is poised to do great things.
