The International Society fo Appraisers has opened registration and announced a preliminary program schedule for its annual conference, Assets 2017, scheduled for March 31- April 1, 2017 in Chicago.
With a long list of impressive past conferences, ISA has the past few years have taken their annual conferences to new and exciting levels with excellent programs, speakers and tours. For Assets 2017 they also expanded the programs beyond Fine Art and Antiques, Residential Contents and appraisal theory and methodology to also include an additional track for generalist appraisers and appraisers who also provide estate sales services. This is in addition to the pre conference SEAK expert witness class. I have already registered for the SEAK program as space is somewhat limited for this excellent and well received course.
Early registration (through 11/25/2016) for ISA members is a bargain at $525.00, sister orgs at $600 and $675 for non-members. This should be another conference which all appraisers from all orgs should try to attend. Chicago is centrally located and is not expensive to fly into.
ISA set records for all time attendance to its Assets conferences two years ago in Philadelphia, and then broke them again this past April in Fort Worth. It looks as if Chicago 2017 will be another record setting year.
