ISA Announces 2009 Conference

The International Society of Appraisers has recently announced its 2009 annual conference itinerary. The 2009 conference is themed "Hail Brittany: English Influence on American Taste. The 2009 conference will be held in historic Charleston, SC at the Francis Marion Hotel, March 16-19, 2009.

Although some topics and presentations are being finalized, some of the confirmed speakers are Tom Savage, Curator and Director of the Museum Division of Historic Charleston Foundation, Janet Moffitt of the IRS Art Advisory Panel, Angela Mack of the Gibbs Museum, Greg Horner of the FBI Art Crime Team, Al and Charlotte Crabtree of the Silver Vault, furniture specialist George Read and African art specialist Alvah Beander.

There are also several tours planned, including the Magnolia Plantation, Brookgreen Gardens and the Charleston Aquarium.

If you were lucky enough to attend last years ISA Conference in Baltimore, you should now realize that ISA is an industry leader when it comes to personal property appraisal conferences and education opportunities. ISA offers membership conference rates to American Society of Appraisers, National Auctioneer Associations members and Appraiser Association of America members. Given the location and the outstanding programs, expectations are this conference will fill up fast, so if you are interested in attending, I would highly recommend to start making plans.
