This post with graph reveals early results and trending abilities that are now available after 3 quarters of processing data from the AW Fine and Decorative Arts Market Confidence survey.
Thanks to all who have responded to the Fine and Decorative Arts Market Confidence Survey. If you have not taken the survey I encourage you do so. The survey form is fast and easy to complete online at the following link http://bit.ly/huvn75
I thought I would share some preliminary results from the Fine Art Middle Market sector to show the value of the survey results over three periods.
The following Chart shows the Fine Art Middle Market Confidence level changes from October 2010 to April 2011. The early survey results show the confidence level in the middle market starting to wane, with both positive confidence decreasing slightly and negative confidence rising slightly. The neutral responses stayed about the same.
If you have not yet taken the survey, there is still time before the online form is taken down. Please take a moment and complete online at http://bit.ly/huvn75. All appraisers can benefit from the free results and use the data for market analysis and market discussions with clients. I thank all appraisers, dealers and specialists who have participated in this important project.
