As the survey grows and expands I plan on tracking the confidence levels and trends in the various sectors over time. This should be a very useful tool for appraisers to refer to both as a snapshot for the quarter, trending of confidence levels over time and future expectations.
The survey seeks a confidence level of positive, negative or neutral in the following market sectors from professional appraisers.
- Fine Art - Upper and Middle Markets
- Asian Art - Upper and Middle Markets
- Furniture and Decorative Arts - Upper and Middle Markets
- Luxury Goods
- Household Contents
- Ancient and Ethnographic Arts - Upper and Middle Markets
- Textiles - Upper and Middle Markets
- Silver - Upper and Middle Markets
- Future Expectations Fine Art - Upper and Middle Markets
- Future Expectations Furniture and Decorative Arts - Upper and Middle Markets

The file is a PDF, and has graphs and percentages for the above listed market sectors. Look for the 4th quarter survey questionnaire in early January, 2011, with results and trend tracking shortly thereafter.
