Fellow appraiser Xiliary Twil, ASA sent me an interesting link to a video on Christie's Swiss art sale. It touches on the market, Brexit and bidding. The video has some interesting statistics on declining totals, but also notes that perhaps having one less important piece can greatly impact the numbers.
